Chris Duhon said Friday his recovery from back surgery is almost complete. The Bulls guard should resume workouts this week, a month after undergoing surgery to fix a herniated disc. He’ll be at full speed when he returns to his hometown of Slidell, La., next month to continue Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Duhon will break ground for the construction of homes in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity. “I try to be as hands-on as I can because that’s my home,” he said. His contributions will be recognized by The Sporting News, which is naming him a recipient of its annual Good Guy award. Duhon will share the honor with fellow Gulf Coast natives Peyton Manning and Deuce McAllister.
