Renditions of “Love Letters” and “Sweet Georgia Brown” helped the Young Guns from Glenbard West High School claim the title of best teenage crooners in the state.

Seniors Josh Adams, Jeff Minkus and Lee Nicholson and junior Eric Swanson were named the best high school barbershop quartet last month during an annual competition in Peoria.

The four had only been performing together since September. They won trophies, while the Glen Ellyn school’s choral program received $300.
