One pricey Italian restaurant on Walton Street complicates its menu with courses beyond appetizer, entree and dessert, logically dubbed “in-between” courses. On a recent weekend, our party of eight took more than two hours to work its way through multiple plates of food–not to mention several bottles of wine.
Maybe that explains the momentary confusion one member of the party had in summing up the evening. Commenting on the overabundance of pasta consumed, she laid the blame on all the “intercourses.”
There was a slight pause before the group erupted in laughter. Yes, she said in reply to the inevitable query, the “intercourses” were good.
