“Prison Break” has been picked up for a second season, Fox announced Wednesday.
After a nearly four-month break, the jailbreak drama returned March 20, and the show’s two most recent outings have garnered strong ratings, so the announcement isn’t too much of a surprise.
Production of the Fox show is expected to resume in the Chicago area in June.
Also, when it finally returns, “Commander in Chief” will take up a spot on a new night. ABC announced Wednesday that “Chief” will return Thursday, April 13 (previously, it had been set to come back Tuesday, April 18). The show will air at 9 p.m. on Thursdays through May, and the Thursday news magazine “20/20” will move to Fridays until the end of the season.
