Worth watching? (star)(star)
“As a gritty exploration of Restoration England and as an acting showcase for the ever-astounding Johnny Depp, Laurence Dunmore’s ‘The Libertine’ is of considerable interest. But as a dramatic enterprise it’s stillborn. Not to mention depressing in the extreme.”
