RATING 3 VOLUME LEVELS
Danger Mouse’s “Gray Album” mashup made him a star. The prolific MF Doom’s output also propelled him up from the underground. As Danger Doom, Mouse’s beats don’t always fit with Doom’s stream-of-consciousness goofiness. The self-consciously cartoonish pair sometimes are overshadowed by actual cartoons from Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. That’s right: The likes of Aqua Team Hunger Force and Space Ghost pop up all over the place. It’s all a hoot, but every bit the novelty you might suspect.
