DeKalb tournament

Carliss Henderson (17 pts) had game-winning layup with 4 seconds left to lift Larkin (9-5) to 57-55 title-game win over Geneva (10-2). Dayvon Ellis paced the Royals with 18. Viking senior guard Brandon D’Amico scored game-high 22 pts and saw desperation half-court shot hit rim as time expired.

Jacobs tournament

Chad Hettermann had 22 pts to lead Johnsburg (13-0) over Prairie Ridge 53-41 for championship. Derek Adams added 14 pts and Eric Curran scored 11 for Skyhawks. . . . Barrington (9-5) defeated Bartlett 69-60 for 3rd place as Chris Childs had 20 pts.

Lemont tournament

In large school semis, Glenbard East (9-1) stopped Sandburg 67-48 behind Mike Capocci’s 29 pts and 16 rebs. Jarvis Griffin added 17 pts and 10 rebs. . . . In small school semis, Shamon Cherry had 25 pts as Lisle (8-3) beat Chicago Christian 56-42. . . . Brian Stroud had 20 pts to lead Providence (7-7) over Walther Lutheran 61-46.

Luther North tournament

Fr. Ronald Steward (15 pts) had game-winning layup with 4 seconds left in OT to lift Zion-Benton (10-2) over Latin 67-65. . . . Jeff Miller and Arthur Kuprion had 18 and 16 pts respectively to lead Stagg (9-4) over Taft 74-48.

Wheeling tournament

Jeff Jordan and Joseph Suhey had 17 pts apiece to lead No. 15 Loyola (11-1) over Deerfield 72-69. . . . Lake Park (7-4) beat Stevenson 66-54 as Mike Dinunno had 25 pts–including 7-of-7 3-pointers. Mike Balleto added 24 pts. . . . Libertyville (6-3) went on 13-0 run in 4th qtr to take 61-42 lead for eventual 66-54 win over St. Viator. Matt Hogan led Lions with 19 pts.

York tournament

Mark Skorvanek scored all 8 of his pts in decisive 3rd qtr and Lyons (7-4) outscored Wheaton South 29-13 in 2nd half as Lions won 44-31. . . . Sean Fendley had 31 pts, including 6 in 16-3 York run to close the 3rd and start 4th as Dukes (11-0) drilled Riverside-Brookfield 80-62. . . . Brian Burns’ 19 pts and 5 rebs paced St. Ignatius to a 58-46 win over Conant.

Bloomington tournament

In quarterfinals, Zhaque Gray had 15 pts and 5 rebs to lead No. 4 Hope (15-0) over Tolono Unity 45-36. Latear Eason (5 rebs) and Precious Gaddis added 12 pts apiece for Eagles. . . . No. 2 Bolingbrook (11-0) beat Carver (Ala.) 61-33 behind Miranda Tate’s 19 pts.

Chicagoland tournament

Ashley Thomas (18 pts) and Eileen Weissmann (9 pts) had 6 pts apiece in 1st qtr as No. 8 Loyola outscored No. 16 Maine South 22-7 in that qtr for eventual 53-23 win in championship game. Ramblers (13-2) held Maine South (15-3) to just 9 pts in 2nd and 3rd qtrs. Brittany McCoy added 17 pts for Ramblers and Christina Solari led Maine South with 10 pts.

Hillcrest tournament

In quarterfinals, No. 11 Marian Catholic beat Lockport 80-38. Caitlin Pauley had 23 pts and Sarah Pillon scored 17 for Spartans (12-2). . . . Ashanti Nichols (19 pts) scored go-ahead basket with 2:37 remaining to give No. 18 Thornwood 44-43 lead with 2:37 left in game for eventual 50-47 win over Oak Forest (8-6). Brittani Nichols added 14 pts for Thunderbirds (11-1). . . . No. 13 Marist (14-1) jumped to12-4 1st qtr lead and Maureen Downs had 19 pts and 5 rebs as Marist beat Stagg 59-39. . . . Sandburg (10-4) beat Hillcrest 63-55 behind Christine Walczak’s 20 pts and 14 rebs.
