Sun will shine on Oredugbas

Friday’s Sun Bowl will be a family reunion for Northwestern’s David Oredugba and his brother, Olukayode, of UCLA. “I’ve been saying, `If we play you, we’ll beat you, we’ll beat you.’ Now I’ll hopefully back it up,” David said. The brothers are reserve defensive backs who play special teams. Olukayode is a sophomore, David a redshirt freshman. Olukayode walked on at UCLA, while David accepted a Northwestern scholarship, choosing the Wildcats over Duke, Arizona and Nevada. “I wanted to get out of Southern California and get a new experience,” he said. Though the game is a Big Ten-Pac-10 matchup, it’s not in Pasadena. “You always want the Rose Bowl, but I’ll take the Sun Bowl,” David said.
