Inspectors for the Dumpster Task Force closed Minari Oriental Restaurant at 3311 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. on Tuesday after discovering more than 300 mouse droppings, according to a report from the Department of Streets and Sanitation.

While following up on sanitation-related complaints in the immediate area around Minari, inspectors paid a visit to the popular Korean restaurant. Inside, they found mouse droppings in the kitchen and basement food storage areas. Droppings were discovered on the front service counters, work counters, shelving for paper goods and even on a serving plate.

Minari was closed after being cited for critical violations of inadequate pest control and for having contaminated contact surfaces.

“Inspectors found conditions that were unhealthy, and this restaurant was closed until management gets it together,” Streets and Sanitation Commissioner Mike Picardi said in a statement.
