Three Chicago musicians killed this summer when a woman barreled into their car in Skokie will live on next month through music, just the way they would have wanted it.

The family and friends of Michael Dahlquist, John Glick and Doug Meis couldn’t think of a better way to pay tribute than a concert in their memory.

“This is really the pinnacle of what their lives were about,” said Meis’ brother, Scott. “This was how their lives were bonded–through music.”

Proceeds from the all-ages 3 Friends Memorial and Benefit Show scheduled Jan. 14 at Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., Chicago, will be donated to charities chosen by the families of Dahlquist, Glick and Meis.

The event will feature performances by bands the men performed with, such as Exo, the Dials and the Returnables.

There will be a silent auction and raffle. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster or at the door. For details, visit www.3friends.org.
