School produces 2 top-notch test takers
Glenbard East High School in Lombard might want to bottle its water and sell it as a tonic, promising superior standardized test results.
The Lombard school produced two students who cleaned up on the SAT and ACT exams.
David Luedtke, who got a perfect ACT score, learned recently that he aced his SAT with a score of 2400. Justin Quam, who also aced his ACT, scored 2390 on the SAT. The students, both from Lombard, were surprised but took the results in stride.
“I thought I would do well, but I didn’t know then that I would do this well,” Luedtke said. “It’s something to be proud of.”
Quam wasn’t disappointed that he came within a whisker of acing the SAT. “I see this as just a test score. I just hope it gives me a leg up when I apply to college,” he said.
