Malik Allen
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
A 6-foot-10-inch forward who can create a mismatch by stepping out for a jumper. Played last season for Charlotte and Miami.
Luol Deng
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
Has unparalleled athleticism but is coming back slowly from a wrist injury that ended his rookie season prematurely. Will need time to regain form.Luol Deng
Jannero Pargo
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
Dependable reserve guard sure to get playing time in coach Scott Skiles’ system. Capable of big scoring games.
Eddie Basden
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
2004-05 Conference USA Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year has impressed but has a long way to go offensively.

Demanding, accept-no-excuses coach, but players say he’s fair. Many like his distribution of playing time and believe they have a shot at flourishing in his offense.

Chris Duhon
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
Says he improved his shooting, and the Bulls could use it. Must stay healthy because Bulls need his poise.
Ben Gordon
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
Exhibition slump isn’t at all indicative of his off-season progress. Bulls are counting on big numbers–and not just in the fourth quarter.
Othella Harrington
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
A big factor in replacing Eddy Curry by committee. If he can play like he did from 1999 to 2001 with Vancouver, Bulls could surprise.
Kirk Hinrich
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
Rising NBA star who has started all but 10 games in two seasons. Must avoid foul trouble without giving up stellar play on defense.
Andres Nocioni
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
Will be an undersized power forward, but that shouldn’t bother the hard-nosed, aggressive 2004 Olympian from Argentina.

Gifted scorer and a versatile power forward prone to foul trouble. Led the team in field-goal percentage (.558) in preseason.
Michael Sweetney
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
He has a lot of talent but will have ups and downs in just his third season. A decent acquisition in the Eddy Curry trade.
Tim Thomas
Marlen Garcia’s comment:
People rave about his talent but criticize his poor production. Ankle injuries in preseason aren’t a good omen.
