The American Analog Set
“Set Free”
With Set leader Andrew Kenny finishing a degree in molecular biology and getting married, the band’s days may be numbered. It’s hard to imagine “Set Free” serving as the group’s swan song, but if that’s what it turns out to be, at least they’ve gone out on top. “Set Free” doesn’t veer too far from past AAS releases with the hushed atmosphere enhanced by subtle organ, brushed drums and vibes.
Best track: “Immaculate Heart” boils the American Analog
Set down to its breezy essence.
