Jimmie Dale Gilmore
“Come On Back”
More Top Picks Solar Boats
In tribute to his late father, cosmic cowboy Gilmore has gathered 13 cover songs–his dad’s favorites–for his seventh solo album. While Gilmore’s otherworldly voice would elevate any material, paired with such personal choices, the collection soars.
Best track: The gospel “Peace in the Valley” hits all the best notes of Gilmore’s distinctive musical sensibility.
