Echo and the Bunnymen

“Siberia”

At their best, Echo and the Bunnymen were more than just the sum of its parts. In 2005, the only original parts of the band left are guitarist Will Sergeant and singer Ian McCulloch, but that turns out to be enough. If you dropped “Parthenon Drive” or “Make Us Blind” onto the Bunnymen boxed set, only the most astute ears would know they weren’t lost classics. That’s a sign that Sergeant and McCulloch still have the goods and have at last grown comfortable with their impressive legacy.

Best track: “All Because of You Days” could teach Interpol a few lessons.
