Neil Flynn, the nameless janitor on NBC’s “Scrubs,” is anything but anonymous in his hometown of Waukegan, which is why Main Street officials are grateful he’s helping out with the city’s first auction on eBay.
Flynn recently sent signed “Scrubs” scripts, shirts, hats and photos to Waukegan officials for the auction, which is aimed at generating funds for the city’s Main Street community development program.
Lt. Gov. Patrick Quinn, who oversees the Main Street program, helped organize the auctions in 19 towns throughout the state, including Waukegan.
Other items offered in the Waukegan auction, which runs through Oct. 17, include children’s adventure book series from the 1950s and ’60s, original recordings of George Gershwin’s “Porgy & Bess” and a charter fishing cruise from Waukegan Harbor.
