No biting yet on N.Y.’s Curry bait

Eddy Curry’s agent, Leon Rose, continued to try to facilitate negotiations between the Bulls and Knicks on Saturday for a sign-and-trade for Curry, a source familiar with the negotiations said.

The Knicks have offered Tim Thomas and Michael Sweetney, but the source said Bulls general manager John Paxson is interested in acquiring a younger post player such as David Lee, who was the 30th pick in the June draft, or second-year forward Trevor Ariza.

Negotiations are expected to drag into Monday. Curry has until 11:59 p.m. that day to accept the Bulls’ one-year qualifying offer.
