Tyler Arnason is a possible Blackhawks candidate for shootouts this season. If a game is tied after a five-minute overtime, it will be decided by a shootout with three players from each team.
But Arnason doesn’t want to think about that yet.

“I don’t want to talk about shootouts,” he said. “They’re nerve-wracking for me. You just have to go with whoever is hot. If someone has two goals in the game, you have to go with him.”
Arnason and the Hawks will have all the exhibition season to get used to the shootout.
The NHL announced Thursday that every exhibition game would feature a shootout at the end, whether the game is tied or not, as a “special preview” for fans and as a way of getting teams acclimated to the process.
