“Engineers”

Engineers dip into the ’80s mysterious music of the Cocteau Twins or Brian Eno, the vocals stacked into something majestic and the instrumentation hazy to the point of wonder. But these ethereal songs–anchored by actual melodies rather than lazy atmospherics–won’t float away.

Best track: “Let’s Just See,” soothing like a cloud drifting across the sky.
