Brian Eno
“Another Day on Earth”
Lately, Eno’s become so well known as an intellectual that it’s easy to forget he was a musician first. “Earth” is his first album of proper songs in 20 years, and Eno handles lead vocals on nearly all of them–not that you can always tell. Eno processes his vocals through any number of effects, making his singing just another element of the ambient-esque mush.
Best track: “Under,” a previously released and gorgeous Eno obscurity, here at last given a proper chance to be heard.
