This is in response to Ramona Clucas’ June 30 letter to the editor. My wife, daughter and I attended a recent matinee of “The Lion King” with my 4 1/2-year-old granddaughter. She was restless at times but enjoyed the play. We enjoyed seeing her enjoy it. There were a lot of kids in the theater, some of whom were a bit restless.

If you expect to see a production that kids will enjoy and have no kids there, don’t go to a matinee. They do present the performances at night.

To this letter writer, I say, “bah humbug!”
