The network has ordered a second installment of its summer hit “Beauty and the Geek.” The second season–which will have eight episodes, up from six–will air during the 2005-06 season.
Ashton Kutcher and Adam Goldberg, also the masterminds of MTV’s “Punk’d,” created “Geek.” Goldberg says their company, Katalyst, has received “thousands” of requests to appear on the next installment of the show and promises “a huge leap creatively” for the second season.

“Beauty and the Geek,” which pairs smart-but-socially awkward guys with pretty-but-intellectually challenged women for contests, has scored solid ratings among The WB’s core audience of teenagers and young adults.
