The ever-loquacious Ald. Burton Natarus (42nd) revealed that he sees “four or five movies a week because it is a good way to hide from the public, a good way to relax.”
“Do you want to go with me one afternoon?” Natarus asked Mayor Richard Daley at one point during his soliloquy.
“No,” Daley chuckled. “No way.”
Which prompted Ald. Bernard Stone (50th) to tell the mayor he was making a mistake.
“I took him to see `Kingdom of Heaven,'” Stone said. “And for two hours-plus, he sat quietly and didn’t say a word. And that’s unbelievable.”
