“Team America: World Police”
Paramount, $29.95
WHO’S IN IT: The voices of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, plus plenty of marionettes.
RECAP: Part Hollywood jab, part dull action movie parody, part political satire, “Team America: World Police” stays too close to the Michael Bay model of crappy, big-budget movies to transcend the very things it takes aim at.
BEST EXTRA: “Building the World” is a short but fascinating feature about the creation of the film’s sets.
SECRETS REVEALED: In “Pulling the Strings,” you get to see the many puppeteers in action, including cult favorites the Chiodo Brothers (“Killer Klowns from Outer Space”).
FEATURE TO SKIP: The “uncensored and unrated” cut of the film includes the infamous puppet sex scene.
TRIVIA: Cinematographer Bill Pope is best known for his work on live-action blockbusters such as “The Matrix” trilogy and “Spider-Man 2.”
IF YOU LIKED THIS, TRY: “Meet the Feebles,” an early comedy from “Lord of the Rings” director Peter Jackson set in the cutthroat world of a Muppet-like cast.

“Seinfeld Season 4”
Sony, $49.95
WHO’S IN IT: Jerry Seinfeld, Michael Richards, Jason Alexander.
RECAP: Once again, an A+ “Seinfeld” DVD package, this time with several of the episodes (“The Contest,” “The Bubble Boy”) that made the show famous, plus commentaries, bloopers and countless other supplements.
BEST EXTRA: “The Breakthrough Season,” a 20-minute doc focusing on what made this season special.
SECRETS REVEALED: “When you’re struggling, bad ideas start to sound like good ideas,” says Seinfeld in the doc, explaining how the anything-goes season rose (or sank) to such taboo-breaking highs (or lows).
FEATURE TO SKIP: The “Regis & Kathy Lee” parody is a cute time capsule, but ultimately pretty narcissistic.
TRIVIA: Watch “The Contest,” and you’ll see the cast is almost always on the verge of cracking themselves up.
