Now, he has a CD.

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), whose biography became a best-selling hit, has just released the book in audio form. “Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance” is contained on 6 CDs, all recorded by the senator himself. A stack of the freshly-released CDs sat on his desk in Washington on Tuesday afternoon.

“Hot off the presses!” Obama told a visitor, holding up a copy of the CD collection. Completing the audio book was no quick feat. He recorded the book during marathon sessions earlier this year, spending more than 15 hours in a sound booth. He did, however, confess to doing a bit of selective editing as he read the book, shaving off nearly 50 pages in the process.
