Fame has catch for Mitts

There are several reasons you might have heard about Heather Mitts lately. She is a sideline reporter for ESPN2 on Major League Soccer broadcasts and a member of the U.S. women’s national team. She’s dating Dolphins quarterback A.J. Feeley. And she recently was voted the Hottest Female Athlete of 2004 by ESPN.com. Says Mitts of her fame, “How do you get a bunch of guys to watch soccer? That’s easy. There are some attractive girls, and what guy doesn’t want to watch attractive girls running around? But, hopefully, they’ll figure out that we’re good athletes as well. Some women are the same. They won’t watch sports unless there are attractive guys to get their attention.”
