French Stewart, one of the stars of the long-running NBC comedy “3rd Rock From the Sun,” is looking to return to TV with a lead in the WB pilot “Best Laid Plans.” The show stars Jane Leeves as a mother whose life changes when her daughter meets her father, formerly an anonymous sperm donor. Stewart will play the main character’s best friend.

– At UPN, Holly Robinson Peete, a veteran of WB comedies “For Your Love” and “Like Family,” will appear with Shannen Doherty in the comedy “Wingwoman,” which looks at a single woman who helps male clients look for love. Peete will play the wingwoman’s boss.

– Also at UPN, Mike Erwin is in place to join the ensemble cast of the drama “The Studio,” playing a young film director in the series about twentysomethings working at a movie studio, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Erwin is best known as the ill-fated Colin Hart on “Everwood” and recently did a supporting run on “Jack & Bobby.”

– At ABC, newcomer Chloe Suazo will join Freddie Prinze Jr. in his untitled comedy project.
