As her younger brother Jason Bateman finishes his second season of “Arrested Development” on Fox, Justine Bateman is seeking her first regular role on a network series in several years.
Bateman, best known as Mallory Keaton on “Family Ties,” has joined the cast of “The Show with AJ Calloway,” a comedy pilot set up at UPN. “The Show” is a fictional take on the life of BET host Calloway (“106 & Park”) in which he plays the host of a late-night talk show.
– At CBS, Jama Williamson has signed on to “Three,” a comedy about a married couple and their recently divorced friend. She’ll play the wife of James Van Der Beek’s (“Dawson’s Creek”) character.
– At ABC, Kevin Dunn (“I Huckabees”) and Jenna von Oy (“Blossom”) have joined “Carol Potter Gets a Life,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pilot stars Oscar nominee Brenda Blethyn as a woman who ditches her suburban-mom life for singlehood and the workplace. Von Oy will play Blethyn’s uptight daughter, while Dunn will play her ex-husband.
