Gorham, Marshall join CBS doctor show
Christopher Gorham, currently of NBC’s “Medical Investigation,” and Paula Marshall, most recently seen in “Veronica Mars,” have signed on for an untitled pilot from ex-“Frasier” show runners Joe Keenan and Christopher Lloyd, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Gorham will play the lead character in the show, which is about a family of doctors; Marshall will play his sister. Henry Winkler and Stockard Channing are playing their recently divorced parents.
It’s unclear what Gorham’s casting might mean for the fate of “Medical Investigation,” which has already finished its season. Before joining the NBC series, Gorham starred in UPN’s “Jake 2.0” last season and was a regular on “Popular.”
Marshall, who appeared in three episodes of “Veronica Mars” this season, has a “show-killer” reputation based on the number of short-lived series in which she’s starred. That list includes “Hidden Hills,” “Cursed,” “Snoops,” “Cupid” and “Chicago Sons.”
