But the South Side alderman made an enticing offer to Mayor Richard Daley last week when the City Council honored Buddy Guy, the Chicago bluesman and proprietor of Buddy Guy’s Legends.
Tillman ended her tribute to Guy by saying, “Hats off. I don’t take my hat off to too many people.”
Which prompted Daley to tease, “Let’s take it off.”
“I’ll tell you what,” Tillman responded, not missing a beat, “Mr. Mayor, if you meet me at Legends later this week, I will take it off and dance with you.”
To that, Daley had no reply.
