player ready...The boys of “Blue Collar TV” are fixin’ to stick around the WB for a while.
The network has ordered a second season of the sketch-comedy show, set to begin in the summer.
“I am in the hospital in shock. I have never had a show on the same network two years in a row,” cracks “Blue Collar” star/executive producer Jeff Foxworthy.
After drawing a surprising 5.4 million viewers in its debut last July, “Blue Collar TV” has averaged 3.5 million viewers per week this season, making it the WB’s
No. 2 comedy, behind “Reba.”
Meanwhile, the network is planning an all-“Blue Collar” night for April 28, the first night of May sweeps. An episode of the show will be followed by two specials, “The Ron White Show” and “Mobile Home Disasters.”
