Navy blue may not be the hot color this season, but Chicago police officers will offer fashion, music and other tips at a prom primer for high school students in Englewood this week.
Representatives of tuxedo companies and dress vendors will be on hand, too.
The event, called “Get Your Prom On,” has a serious point: Officers will present information on safe dating and domestic violence.
The seminar is open to high school students and will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ogden Park, 6700 S. Racine Ave. It is sponsored by the Englewood District Domestic Violence Subcommittee and the Chicago Park District.
