Former “Cheers” star Shelley Long is joining the parade of high-profile guest stars on “Boston Legal.”

Long will play a respected and very proper businesswoman named Miriam Watson in the March 20 episode.

She seeks help from Crane, Poole & Schmidt when she’s accused of the very improper act of “engaging in sexual conduct for a fee,” ABC said. Miriam is good friends with one of the firm’s partners, Shirley Schmidt (Candice Bergen), and once had a relationship with Denny Crane (William Shatner).
