M20 Development received approval from the Village Board this week to build a 43,000-square-foot shopping center on State Street that will feature Ace Hardware, Starbucks and Cold Stone Creamery.
Lemont Village Shopping Center will surround the Community Bank of Lemont on the east side of State Street across from the Jewel-Osco Shopping Center south of 127th Street.
Trustees also annexed 3 acres of the 7-acre parcel into the village. The developer expects to break ground this spring and complete the project in the fall.
