Sead Odzic scored 32 points and had seven assists and four steals as Niles West (6-2) needed three overtimes to edge Curie 79-76 Monday in the first round of the Pontiac Tournanent.

A putback by Curie’s Marcus Van with two seconds left in regulation tied the score 59-59. Van finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and six blocks for the Condors (6-4).

Also at Pontiac, top seed Simeon got 18 points, four steals and three assists from Derrick Rose in a 53-47 win over Peoria Manual. Bryant Orange and Dexter Williams each scored eight points for the No. 7 Wolverines. . . . Marcus Lewis scored 22 points and Logan Derrick added 16 as No. 11 Warren (9-0) rolled past Lockport 63-30. . . . A 19-5 run in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter carried No. 19 West Aurora to a 66-47 win over Springfield.

At Rich South: With less than four minutes left in the final game, a fight in the stands–the fourth incident of the evening–caused the referees to call a halt to the game and award Rich Central a 71-48 win over Eisenhower.

Hundreds of fans stampeded out of the gymnasium during the fourth fight, and police were on the scene.

At York: Bryan Mullins scored nine of his 20 points in the first quarter as No. 15 Downers South (8-1) beat Deerfield 78-42. . . . Bob Frasor and Matt Seaquist scored 19 and 17 points, respectively, as No. 16 Brother Rice (7-2) rolled over Willowbrook 82-42. . . . Benjamin Mundt’s 25 points led No. 17 Lyons (9-0) to a 73-56 win over St. Charles East. . . . At Glenbard West: Nick George passed the length of the court to Greg Callahan (18 points), who beat the buzzer with an off-balance three-pointer to give West Chicago (12-0) a 46-45 win over Timothy Christian for the title. Jacob Carwell scored 11 points for Timothy Christian (13-3), including two free throws with 0.9 seconds left that gave the Trojans (13-3) a 45-43 lead.

At Dundee-Crown: No. 1 Fenwick (14-0) rolled to a 69-26 victory over Streamwood behind 20 points from Brittanny Johnson. . . . Arielle Wilson scored 14 for Proviso East, including a game-tying turnaround jumper with 30 seconds left in regulation. Keilani Moeaki scored 31 points for the Tigers (7-6).
