Division I-AA’s No. 1-ranked Salukis are favored to become the first team in the 20-year-old Gateway Conference to open two seasons in a row with 6-0 league records.
The Salukis’ 66-13 rout of Western Illinois on Saturday produced several school records: most points against a I-AA opponent, most points in a Gateway game, biggest margin of victory against a I-AA or Gateway opponent and a tie for the most total yards, 606.
