A section of Army Trail Road will be closed to through traffic between Glen Ellyn Road and Swift Road in the Bloomingdale, Addison and Glendale Heights area for three weeks in November as part of the road’s reconstruction project, DuPage County transportation officials announced Wednesday.
The closing will begin Tuesday and last through Nov. 23. From the west, local traffic will be able to use Army Trail Road from the Glen Ellyn Road intersection to Brookdale Drive. From the east, local traffic will be able to use Army Trail Road from Swift Road to Creekside Drive.
The closing is required in part to build a two-chambered culvert to improve flow of the East branch DuPage River under the roadway, officials said.
