The Village Board on Monday approved major expansion plans for a church that moved to town two years ago.
Officials with Parkview Christian Church plan to build an 88,952-square-foot addition to the church near 183rd Street and Wolf Road, which would triple the size of the existing structure.
The addition would include a child-care facility, cafe, bookstore, classrooms and meeting rooms.
The church also would add about 150 spaces to its parking lot.
As part of the expansion, Orland Park would annex 6 acres into the village, giving the church an 18-acre campus.
