Minnie Driver

Everything I’ve Got in My Pocket

Quick, name the last Minnie Driver movie. Give up? Apparently so has Driver, since the actress has gone and switched mediums back to her first love, music. As far as celebrity stabs at pop go, “Everything I’ve Got in My Pocket” is more than respectable. Since Driver writes virtually everything on the disc (yes, words and music), there’s no embarrassment in her forgoing a pseudonym. In fact, dreamy songs like the title track, “Fast as You Can” and “Home” hold up against any of the moody acts they might be compared to.
