Brother Rice’s Dave Fudacz came through with 2-under-par 70 to help Crusaders win, ending Loyola’s 18-year hold on title. “I haven’t been playing well, haven’t been dropping putts, but they fell today,” said Fudacz, a sr. who picked up his 1st tournament victory with help of 5 birdies. Teammates Kevin Holland (74), Matt Harrigan (74) and Jordan Vidovic (76) joined Fudacz in top 10. Anthony Rausch’s 72 led Fenwick to 2nd-place finish, 4 strokes in front of Loyola.
Central Suburban North meet
Sean McIntyre fired 75 to take medalist honors and lead Deerfield to team title. Glenbrook North finished 2nd, led by Kevin Dooley’s 78.
DuPage Valley meet
Wheaton North’s Tom Hunt carded 78 to edge Andrew Odnik of Naperville Central by 1 stroke for medalist honors. But RedHawks also got top-10 finishes from Andy Kyle (5th, 80) and David Thonn (7th, 81) to take team title by single stroke over Falcons.
