The Orland Park Elementary School District 135 Board is considering major renovations to three of the district’s buildings.
Alan Armbrust of Oak Brook-based FGM Architects told the board of the company’s plan to build 13,000-square-foot additions to Liberty and Prairie Elementary Schools, and add 15,000 square feet to Jerling Junior High.
Liberty would get additional multipurpose and art and computer rooms. At Prairie, five new classrooms would be built, including three kindergarten rooms. It would also receive an additional multipurpose room that would be used as a gymnasium.
Jerling would get a new science suite with six classrooms and a new stage, according to Armbrust.
