In just 3 quarters, RB Nick Nathan piled up 260 yards and 6 TDs on 23 carries as Sequoits (5-0, 1-0) rolled. “Our offensive line is our steel curtain,” Nathan said. “Each week they protect me.” Rick Ellis completed 8 of 20 for 186 yards and a TD for Scouts (3-2, 0-1).

QB Bobby Dobry completed 10 of 11 for 231 yards and a TD and added 10-yard TD run as Broncos (4-1, 3-0) scored 35 unanswered points in 2nd half. RB Mike Mucha rushed for 94 yards and 3 TDs on 17 carries. Ryne Rader scored on TD runs of 62 and 4 yards for Marmion (2-3, 1-2).

Jake Polich carried 26 times for 204 yards and scored 2 1st-half TDs to pace Rams (4-1, 2-1). “I just wanted to drag guys around,” Polich said. “That was my plan all day.” Solomon Grady rushed for 104 yards on 7 attempts for Argo (4-1, 2-1) and scored on 79-yard run in 3rd.

Tyler Voigt scored for Wheaton South (9-2-1). “They were doing a lot of individual things–trying to do things themselves and not having faith in their teammates,” Wheaton South coach Guy Callipari said. “Bartlett took advantage of that and consequently they were victorious.”

Waubonsie Valley Invitational

No. 3 Rosary outlasted No. 9 Naperville North 25-22, 23-25, 25-13 in title game. In 5 games, Catherine Smale had 52 kills and 33 digs for Royals (16-1). Rachel Hartmann had 104 assists and 11 kills, while Nikki Purcell added 20 kills, 19 blocks and 12 digs.

Medalist Anthony Milano shot 69 and Chris Reading (74) finished 3rd, leading Geneva (305) to team title. Kenny Eberhardt of Marist shot 72 to finish 2nd. St. Charles North (309) was 2nd in team standings.

Sandburg’s Bridget O’Connor (76) edged Mother McAuley’s Mary Kate Boyce (77) for medalist honors. Lyons (329) took team title behind three players in top 6: Heather Grant (5th, 81) and Allie Marcino and Britta Jepsen (tied 6th, 84).

Downers North Invitational

Emily Hoefler won 100 and 200 freestyle and swam on winning squads in 200 and 400 freestyle relays, leading Downers South (364 points) to title. Wheaton Co-op was 2nd with 340 points. Lake Park’s Danielle Hermann won 200 IM and 100 backstroke and swam on winning 200 medley relay team. Kayla Redig of host Mustangs won 50 free and 100 fly.

Lake County meet

Host Lake Forest (380 points) took team title as Lindsey Kelly won 50 and 100 freestyle and swam on 2 winning relays. Agatha Kwasnik won 200 freestyle and also aided 2 relay winners for Scouts. Barrington (301) finished 2nd behind winners Angela Yu (100 back) and Alexa Hamilton (100 breaststroke).

Prospect Invitational

Flight champions Alexis Ward (2nd singles), Emily Lumbardi (3rd singles) and Taylor Martin and Jennifer Schwartzkopf (1st doubles) led Hinsdale Central to title. Red Devils (67 points) edged Barrington (61), which won other 3 doubles flights. In 1st-singles title match, Hailee Elmore of Springfield outlasted Libertyville’s Samantha Kintzel 2-6, 6-0, 7-6 (9-7).
