Both teams scored in OT, but missed PAT made difference. Kyle Braheny caught 4th TD pass of game from Ben Ostermann on 4th and 10, and Ostermann added extra point for Saxons (3-2, 1-0). Tyler Rice scored on 2-yard run for Conant (3-2, 0-1), but PAT sailed wide. Braheny caught 11 passes for 199 yards and Ostermann completed 14 of 24 for 223 yards. “I knew if they gave me a jump ball, I’d get it,” Braheny said of the winning TD. “We knew we could beat their coverage.” Rice carried 32 times for 110 yards and 3 TDs for Cougars.

LB Matt Klein recovered Prospect fumble to set up scoring drive. “The fact that we came in here and shut them out was outstanding,” said Buffalo Grove DL Dan Higgins, who recorded 2 sacks and forced fumble. “The goose egg makes it that much sweeter.” Prospect dropped to 3-2, 0-1.

QB Garrett Seeger racked up 223 yards on 10 carries, including 74-yard TD run and 67-yard scamper that set up final TD for Broncos (3-2, 1-0). Trailing 7-6, Barrington took 14-7 lead after DB Tony DiMonte intercepted pass in end zone and returned it 105 yards for TD. Cleo Walker rushed for 156 yards on 34 carries for Fremd (2-3, 0-1).
