Barry Bonds’ 700th home run ball wound up in the possession of Steven Williams of Pacifica, Calif. Williams, 25, said he retrieved the ball after being at the bottom of a pile of fans for “30, 45 seconds.” A fan directly on top of him got up, and the ball rolled right past him. “I couldn’t see anything because I was at the bottom of the pile. I don’t know how nobody found it.” He said he’s already heard that two fans are complaining they had a right to the ball. “Bring it on, I swear,” Williams said. “It makes me kind of angry because I did get this ball fair and square. The ball was on the ground, I picked it up and it’s mine.” Williams left no doubt about what his plans are for his new possession. “What am I going to do with it?,” he said. “Are you crazy? I’m going to sell the thing.”
