Jeff Gordon and Michael Schumacher will compete head to head for the first time Dec. 4 in Paris. “It’s as equal-opportunity as you can get,” Gordon said Friday of the format in which he will drive for Team USA and Schumacher for Germany in the Race of Champions for the Nations Cup. Schumacher, 35, is Formula One’s winningest driver, with 82 career victories and seven season championships. Gordon, 33, is the winningest active driver in NASCAR, with 69 wins and four titles. “Michael certainly brings a lot of interest there,” Gordon said. “[Going] head to head with him is going to be awesome. Win or lose, it’s probably the only opportunity I’ll ever get to race against Michael Schumacher.”
