Houston Texans linebacker Antwan Peek lost his playbook last week, normally an offense that draws a stiff fine from coach Dom Capers. But Capers was lenient in this case. The playbook was inside Peek’s SUV, stolen from the parking lot of the team hotel. The vehicle was recovered the next day minus the playbook. “That was out of his control,” Capers said. “It’s not like he was flagrant other than leaving the car running. That’s where he made his mistake. The playbook went along with the car.” The person who stole Peek’s truck had been inside the hotel to pick up a job application, presumably for a parking valet. Said Peek: “There’s no telling if they might take the playbook and send it out to other teams.”
