Terrific ballhawk spent entire career with Sox; hit .301 as rookie in 1921, .325 in 1924 and .328 two years later, led league in steals (43) and runs scored (135) in 1925.

Mike Kreevich,

1936-41

Little big man (5-foot-7) covered ground and could hit: Broke in in 1936 with first-division team with .307, followed with .302 (and league-best 16 triples in ’37), .297 and peak of .323 in ’39.

Jim Landis,

1957-64

Gold Glover was Sox’s MVP in second half of ’59 pennant season; peak offensive year was 1961 (22 homers, 85 RBIs, .283).

Chet Lemon,

1976-81

Converted 3B made smooth transition, leading league’s CFs in putouts in ’77, and strung together averages of .300, .318, .292 and .302 during ’78-81.

Lance Johnson,

1988-95

Speedster won regular job in ’90, led league in triples four straight years and stole, in successive seasons, 36, 26, 41, 35, 26 and 40 bases.
