A $2.1 million grant will go toward the $12 million cost of a new multilevel parking deck with approximately 768 parking spaces. The parking facility and the 2,500-square-foot commuter station lie within a recently created tax increment financing district. Revenue from that district will be applied to the remaining cost of the deck, according to Village Manager Joe Faber.
Construction is scheduled to begin in November, with a target completion date of December 2005, he said.
