Two of the hottest faces on the WB will find new loves when their shows return this fall.
Jensen Ackles will become a regular on “Smallville,” playing the heir to a Metropolis financial firm who falls for Kristin Kreuk’s Lana Lang.
A veteran of Fox’s “Dark Angel,” Ackles starred in “Still Life,” a midseason replacement that never aired.
Matt Czuchry is another product of a failed pilot, having come to the WB’s attention in the network’s “Dark Shadows” effort. The actor, who also has been seen in CBS’ “Hack,” will take a recurring role on “Gilmore Girls” as a love interest for Rory (Alexis Bledel).
Given the state of things at the end of last season, that could cause problems for Dean (Jared Padalecki) or, really, for everybody.
