The Art Institute of Chicago’s “long day”–the weekday when it is open into the evening hours–will move from Tuesday to Thursday as of July 1. The hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday.

The change will accompany a change in the suggested admission fee previously announced: from $10 to $12 for adults, $6 to $7 for children, seniors and students. However, the fee is only suggested, so visitors may continue to enter for as little as a penny. The museum’s free day remains Tuesday.
